Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28 at Eversole Mortuary for Orin F. Gann, 69, of Ukiah, who died of cardiac arrest Dec. 25 in a local hospital. 

Joe Fry, pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church in Ukiah, will officiate. Members of that church will serve as pall bearers.  Interment will be in the veterans' section of Ukiah Cemetery. 

A World War II veteran of the United States Army, Gann was a native of the State of Missouri.  He was born Dec. 3, 1915 in Marshfield, Mo.  He was a retired mill worker. 

Surviving him are wife, Susie Gann of Ukiah; five sons, Eddie Holcomb of Laytonville, Bill Holcomb of Boonville, Gerald Holcomb of Concord, James Holcomb of Ukiah, and Frank Jones of Ukiah; one daughter, Annie Barnhart of Lucerne; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. [Note: the four Holcombs and Barnhart were Orin's step-children, Susie's children by her first marriage.  Jones was Susie's foster son.]

Also surviving are two brothers, Gene Gann of Soledad and Ray Gann of Salinas; and three sisters, Faye Reynolds and Ruth Prince of Oregon and Mildred Miguel of Soledad.
